Katya Tolstova and Chris Lavish relaxed in Lovesac's Cloud-Like Comfort at NYFW: The Shows on Feb. 14, 2022 in New York City.

The adult beanbag chairs from Lovesac evoke memories of childhood comfort, but they come at a price.

Soon, Katy residents will be able to purchase the luxury furniture, which costs between $650 and $1,650, at a new location opening Sept. 9 in LaCenterrra.

The price tags for Lovesac's beanbag chairs are reflective of their size and quality, showroom manager Ian Bruce said.

"People love the beanbags because we've taken the idea of something that's part of our childhoods and adapted it for adults," he explained.

Even Lovesac's smallest beanbag, the Gamersac, is large enough to fit an adult. The company's largest, the BigOne, is six feet in diameter and can fit up to two adults and two children.

Despite the classification of beanbag, Lovesacs don't contain the standard polystyrene beans or beads found in other beanbags. The bags are filled with small foam fibers, making them softer and smoother than traditional beanbags.

The bags feature a waterproof liner, made from recycled plastic, with a machine-washable outer cover, and are filled with recycled furniture foam.

"Basically the stuff that other furniture outlets would throw into a landfill, we re-purpose it and we put it into our beanbags," Bruce said.

Covers come in a variety of customizable colors and textures. Even better, the Lovesacs come with a lifetime guarantee.

"They're perfect for people with kids and pets," Bruce said, "because they're pretty much indestructible."
